"Heart of Gold" is in the final glazes stage.  Now it's a matter of detailing some things, de-emphasizing  others, adjusting  the colour saturation and trying to keep the whole painting in balance.    This is the fun part, although I've been known to crash and burn when my wax wings melted.  Still, the bones of accurate drawing and underpainting are in place and I have hopes that this gal will survive the ride ahead.
